Now if/when he calls Gears 1 and 2 last gen jag fests and the best that UE3 can put out then we'll know the real war of words has started. Everything else is just blowing smoke. |
Very good points, (especially the MGS one :) ) What I was really coming at though is that they are three arguably bold claims

god of war 3 isn't really that impressive if you consider the fact that it's doing the same thing as past games in the series from technical standpoint. it may impress some that really don't know jag about games but in reality it's very last gen type of game - similar to first bioshock or call of duty series. bioshock looked great but only because of art and level design other than that it's not really that good looking game. Call of Duty games could probably run on past gen consoles, but the use of filters and good level design hide very poor and old tech.
waron the GOW fans will destroy you for saying that, lol, GOW III is amazing and I agree it does some very familiar things but, it looks totally awesome:):)
OT: I agree with the things they have said about MW2 and Halo, but seriously I will have to wait and see how it looks and performs on my PS3 before saying crysis 2 is better than Killzone 2, I am glad we have a proper multi-platform engine now:):)

i dont think the consol vertion will look as good as he is saying. even if its does sony hav proven on a ridiculas number of time that they are the masters of beating there own consols limit. kinda like god of war on ps2. though im all up for an awesome looking game i dont think its a very good idea to bash 3 games that together acumilate around 30,000,000 units in sales. thats salot of people to piss off lol

that's why i sad that God of War 3 is great in art and level design but technically is below average.
