Forums - Nintendo - The lack of fire Pokemon that originated in the Sinnoh region was appalling

I could see some sort of "Melting" HM being used in an ice region, or instead of flash in caves, you could light a torch with a fire based HM.

The first idea could be incorporated into the Generation V Pokemon games, but the second idea may not as Flash is a more appropriate TM that can be used as an HM.

yeah, i would like less evolutions and more new pokemon

They should stop making new pokemon. I mean come on. After gold and silver it just got crazy. They have stupid names now, and they are all almost exactly the same. Oh my god! Your water pokemon has 3 of the same skills as my water pokemon!

Charmander was the shit btw. All the cool kids picked him back in the day.

We need a Fire/Dragon type.

That would be the most logical thing to do.

Nothing can beat Dragon/Ghost though...

I want a Dragon/Ghost that isn't legendary. That would be so damn sweet xD

OT - That annoyed me too, since I didn't pick Chimchar as my starter on Platinum >_<

I picked Turtwig (my second favourite starter of all time)

I picked Piplup. I love water starters, ever since Gen II XD,

I picked Piplup too looked so cute I couldn't resist :/ Than it evolved and turned so ugly ;(

I agree totally. I was so shocked that an Elite 4 dude who's specialty was Fire only had TWO Fire types in his whole team!!! Lopunny with Fire Punch?! Steelix with Fire Fang?! Drifblim with Will o Whip?!! LAME!!!

I thought Empoleon looked bad-ass xD

But it doesn't compare to the awesomeness of Feraligatr Best Water Starter ever xD

Here's some fire type combinations that haven't been used yet:

Fire/Bug-
Fire/Electirc-
Fire/Ghost-
Fire/Grass-
Fire/Ice-
Fire/Normal-
Fire/Poison-
Fire/Psychic-
Fire/Water-
Fire/Dragon-

I dunno... there could be a Fire Ant for Fire/Bug and a Chili Pepper for Fire/Grass...

Fire/Bug could be a firefly. That'd be pretty awesome

wasn't he fire/dragon? lance used him? hazy memories.

He uses a Gyrados, two Dragonairs, an Aerodactyl, and a Dragonite.

In Yellow, they start at Level 56 and go up to Level 62.

The toughest to get are the second Dragonair (which uses ice but can be brought down) and the Dragonite -- who I have yet to beat. That damn Dragonite has been known to take down 4 or 5 fully-healed Pokemon because it has fire and ice and flying attacks.
