Forums - Nintendo - First Pokémon Black & Pokémon White Images

On a Japanese Imageboard, the first pictures of what could be CoroCoro has come out featuring what are screenshot from the upcoming games; Pokémon Black and White. This picture shows the new battle screen and features a battle between Zorua & Zoroark. We also got the first picture of the overworld. We'll bring more as it comes. The information is as follows:

  • There is a shop in the Pokémon Centre
  • The 3D in this game is far more advance then previous games
  • It appears that CoroCoro isn't reveallig much information in this issue, but rather showing the graphical change between the generations

Thanks goes to Serebii.net for the pictures and info.

Plus new details, thanks to Andriasang. The games will have three "major evolutions" compared to previous games:

  • More intense battle scenes
It looks like the Pokemon will engage in more heated battles this time around.
  • More realistic towns
The towns rise up with high rising buildings. It also seems that the Pokemon Center will have additional shops separate from the reception desk.
  • Evolution 3
It's unclear what exactly the third evolution is supposed to be about. Under this section, the magazine shows screens of a dungeon and what appears to be the game's opening town.

EXCITEMENT!

Pixel Art can be fun.

i don't like the new camera angle. also would've rather had this game for the 3DS instead of having sprites again

what's the point of having a new generation of pokemon in the same generation of handhelds? not much improvement from the looks of it... i'm really interested as to WHAT exactly will be the draw in for buying this game this time around, this has never happened before (pretty sure)

Holy Sh---

Can Black/White have the same impact for pokemon as Gold/Silver had on GBC?

Looks like it :O

After looking at it several times, I have to say I'm very interested. They seemed to have fused Pokémon Centers with Pokémarts, also the new city seems larger than any of the cities in the series to date. Those glowing rocks in the cave are rather curious as well.

Interesting, but not that much to make me buy it. I liked the efforts for doing it 3D, but that's not it...

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.
