How long can Sony maintain this momentum?

Two weeks of being above 200k and with the supply issues in the America's somewhat under control (it sold over 100k for back to back weeks and outsold the 360 in those same weeks). I personally think that Sony can get another week of being above 200k, but then will be sub 200k til maybe ModNation Racers in May.

I'm not expecting anything from Modnation Racers, but both consoles might get a boost the week Prince of Persia, Split/Second and Red Dead Redemption come out + Alan Wake.

I think ModNation Racers will boost PS3 by a strong number.

I don't see the PS3 falling below 150k by now and then.

Doubt that Modnation will be a massive seller, and most definatly not a big hardware pusher in its first month. Sure, it could become a hit in the longrun like LBP, but not anything major. Best case I could see it doing similar numbers at first like Inafmous had Tough even that will be really hard to achieve...

E3 tends to boost companies just based on what gets shown. So I've keeping that in mind.

Is anybody else amazed that, even given the great titles out for the first quarter, that the PS3 is beating the 360 with both HW and SW ? I never thought that i'd see this in 07 or 08, but PS3, you've done much better for yourself

Just wait til' gt5 comes out and consoles are sold out for the next year.

The PS3 has been consistently selling roughly 240K for the last 4 weeks, it's going to hover around 200K for the rest of the year

With sales seemingly stabalizing in Europe and no shortages there for the most part it would take a rather precipitous drop in both Americas and Japan to fall below 200k at this point. Assuming that there are no more major shortages in Americas again I think we'll be looking at 200k+ until some time in June. And then there's whatever interest E3 can generate, which I'm expecting to be epic.

i think the ps3 will hover around 200k during the weeks of april.

US : 80-90k
Japan: 35-45k
Others : 80-90k

Total : 195-225k
