Never say never, and Sony isn't even a hundred years old yet man. They are still somewhat young.

No company in the world is too big to go bankrupt. But neither is Sony in financial trouble right now. So barring any major accounting descrepencies, Sony will not be going bankrupt in the foreseeable future.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Well, they make movies [Columbia Pictures], TV's [Bravia], and music which owns Michael Jackson's songs. Hell, they also make cell phones, camera's and many more.

Sony, to me, will never go bankrupt with all the resources they have.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 > Modern Warfare 2

well i was gonna come on here and lecture you a lil about being "too big a company to go belly up" but everyone else has already done that lol.

and anyway, while the ps3 may be a huge deal in the gaming community, you gotta also realize that sony is a company with around 230 billion in total assets, compared to SCE which is only 50 bill. now dun get me wrong, that is by no means a small portion of the company, but the ps3 would not make or break the company.

and while 09 proved to be a big loss for them, in 08 they posted a profit of almost triple that amount. and before 08, sony actually posted 14 straight years in the black. so they aren't in trouble unless several of their major divisions are doing badly.

now like i and many others said, is sony too big to go belly up? NOPE, even the biggest and the bestest fall eventually.

If the Global Financial Crisis has taught anyone anything, it's that NO company is safe from bankruptcy, no matter how big they are.

Are you kidding? We have local businesses that are older than Sony.

Erm,

The bigger they are, the harder they fall...if not cautious.
