This reminds me on the Nintendofans back in 1996... they told me to wait for Banjo Kazooie, Golden Eye, Zelda, etc... and when this games came out they didn´t help the N64 to beat the PSX. Of course I played Zelda 64 and Golden Eye later... but at the time they told me to wait for them I was totally into the Playstation hype

So Hus: Lair won´t help the PS3 to win this gen. One title is not enough. And don´t tell us about FF13 now this is a 2008 title.

 MGS4, Heavenly Sword, Lair, KH3, FFXIII, SOCOM 4, Turok (not sure if its multi platform), Killzone 2, Mercs 2 (not sure if its multi platform), Black 2 (confirmed last month for PS3 exclusive)

Anyways, I would say games like Grand Theft Auto 4 will be much bigger on the XBox 360 than on the PS3 largely because the lower price tag and amalgamation effect from the rest of the games that are being released this year.

I know what I am about to say is purely anecdotal, but this constant listing of what is to come from the PS3 as grounds as selling the system is starting to sound like an annoying chant in my head that I have to make comment.   I have been around a lot of hardcore gamers over the last few years (live with a former game store employee), more than one are or were Sony fanboys, and I never hear any buzz about these games outside of Sony fanboys on this and similar forums.  I say this as a total admitted Nintendo fan, and non-fan of MS products - though there is a 360 in my house (and a PS2 I will add).  Never, ever do I hear about these games outside the forums - even from the Sony boys.  I have only encountered two people interested in the PS3 at all, one being a total Sony fanboy who is now on the fence about which system to buy because of the PS3's price.  A year ago, even six months ago, I might have bought this game list argument, but it now seems from my perspective there just is little to no interest in the PS3 no matter what they do now because of the price.  Maybe it is just the region I am in, I don't know but the buzz is all 360.  No matter how many times I see these games listed, I do not think it is going to make a difference without a price cut.

That seems like an outlandish statement.  Has he turned "prophet" or something? I think Sony should start talking when the sales get higher, but right now they should stay mum.

 Don't worry Blip, you're not alone.  We've discussed the "PS3 fanboy's game list" a few times.  Sometimes it's ridiculous.  I mean, you can practically recite that list from memory after so many fanboys chant it day after day.

Maybe the next time somebody tells me the Wii is going to die, I'll just spit out Super Mario Galaxy, SSBB, Metroid Prime 3, No More Heroes, Disaster, blah blah... 

Indeed.  Sony is going against pretty powerful software exclusives from Microsoft and Nintendo.  Break out the bandages because it may not be pretty when those two get through with Sony.

All 3 sides give out these lists. The Sony list is perhaps given more because of the doomsayers that are constantly saying the PS3 has no games in its future. That's annoying as well. And that Sony list you speak of was in response to an idiodic list that included a PS2 game and a PS2 franchise that is going multi-platform. It could well be that GTA IV sells better on the 360, but there's also a big attachment from the PS2 GTAs so that could factor in. 360 fans are constantly talking about Halo 3, and I know several people that bought a 360 just to play Halo 3. That's a future game as well.

Don't act like the PS3 has nothing coming and we "fanboys" will stop listing the games. I hope the Wii doesn't die, though, because I'm buying one for Trauma Center, heh.

Blip, you have a point with the price, and I think that's obviously a key factor. That's probably why there are rumors of a $100 price drop in October popping up everywhere. Even if that's not from Sony and some random guy started it, it's probably a good idea for Sony to drop the price as soon as possible. Personally, I see the PS3 as a much better deal than the 360 already, especially since I play online and don't want to pay to do it since the only time I ever have was for Evercrack.

However, most games on that list are hotly anticipated so I'm not sure why you never hear any hype about them. EGM and other multi-platform sites are all over those games and that's probably why "fanboys" are excited about them.

As for Turok, happysquirrel, it was featured in a preview in this month's PSM and has a new direction behind it. They stated that every game in the series just got worse, so we'll see what the rebirth has in store.
