Call of duty world at war received great reviews on Wii platform, over 80+ in review score and still, do not manage to sell 1.5 million. Yes maybe the game has less features than the HD version, but it we considered that COD world at war was the best FPS on wii platforma and was released at the same time with the HD version, it still way above. In the rest of the game, HD user has way more options in third parties core games, we can't buy it all, but i don't think Wii user has too much options for buying third parties core games.

Call of Duty also has a large established fan base, and those fans will buy the console that has the best versions of Call of Duty, and that goes double when you consider that the Wii got Modern Warfare two years late.  Almost everyone interested in World at War would already have an HD console, and they aren't going to buy a Wii to play a game they can easily get on a console they already have; while many Wii owners have probably never heard of Call of Duty.

Third parties are having trouble on Wii, but they have been stacking the deck by releasing their biggest and best games on the HD consoles, which lures their audience to those consoles, making it easier to sell their other games; Nintendo was (and still is) the only company releasing AAA content on the Wii, so the audience is based on people who like their games, which is why Nintendo can do so well on its home turf, it really is their audience.  If third parties had supported the Wii with AAA exclusives right from the start, they wouldn't have this problem now.

Veder Juda is hand crafted from EPIC FAIL, and is a 96% certified Looney; the other 4% is a work in progress.

I'll grant that the brother's in arms comparison is fair, just because we have to stress that Call of Duty became huge on PS360 in 2007. That's why its hard to make the World at War comparison properly either. Call of Duty didn't get huge on Wii, so 5 posted similar results to 3 in an environment where 4 (the breakout game) didn't exist, and then 4 comes along 2 years later and has to try and make a name for itself strictly on its own merits.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I think the most telling thing here is that those are pretty much the best efforts we've had from third parties on Wii, and they at best stand up to the average-decent HD games.

The simple truth is that there has never been a Wii third party game with equal or superior effort to an HD game. There are many reasons for this (both reasonable and ridiculous), but none of them change this basic truth.

I was reading something that I found via this website yesterday which had every single third party release from a major publisher. This was hundreds of games. Out of those hundreds of games I struggled to get into double figures for games that I wanted that weren't simple ports of games from previous generations. Take Two are a good example here. Aside from a very good port of Bully, the best they managed is Manhunt 2 and that was it. This is one of the biggest publishers on the planet, responsible for the likes of GTA and Bioshock, and they've only ever released 2 games for a core audience on Wii. Some of these publishers didn't even bother to release one core game, so how they can say that they tried and failed is beyond me.

i only took a quick glance at your thread but the comparisons seems extremely cherry picked in order to make sure the wii looks good. just another thread for "core" wii fan to cry about buying the wrong console for the games they want to play.

I did not made the text , its from Nintendo everything , is the first thing i posted after the Text ^~

I pretty much agree with it !

GO PATS! 2012 THE YEAR OF NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS'S 4TH SUPER BOWL!

A patriot to the end. GO PATS!

Now playing> THE LAST STORY (Wii) Best RPG I EVER PLAYED. *-*

Nintendo could u please just take my money and give me back my 3DS?!

Its strange at best and has some great spin to it. It would be the simplest thing in the world to make a list to prove the exact opposite so its kind of pointless and, yes, cherry picked, like others have stated.

True ^^ but you know its a forum people must discuss stuff...so i read the text and i tough "Hey people will discuss this" and so they are ^^
I own a lot of third party wii games, but i dont really care how much more people in the world is playing fragile right now for example , but would be cool if the game sells a lot so we can always expect a sequel.
Also is all ready a fact that more software is move on the Wii than in any other console. If this software is good or not are the people who are buying it that can say...
