Forums - Sony Discussion - If Sony bought Apple?

Sony can definatly afford apple, they own most of the entertainment buisness, they have since 1946. Most of the movies you watch are owned by sony as with most of the tech in your house. how bout all the cassettes, atrac, cds, dvds and blu-rays, vhs, mini dv. their music company, subsidiary companies. what does apple have again? limited use computers, a phone, and an mp3 player mass storage device, sony has all of that as well with a bigger global following. itunes aint s*** 2 cents per download is nothing considering they dont produce music. that doesnt matter cause it would be considered a monopoly and the court would tear it down.

None of those matter because even with all them Sony doesn't make profits right now and they have no cash. They only have debt. While Apple has huge profits and has huge amounts of cash. Anyway, cassettes and vhs dead formats so they get nothing from them anymore.

When we are talking about buying a company, only current situation and possible future situation are important, history doesn't matter.
