Forums - Gaming - Need your opinion on a gaming tv

Hi there guys;

I know I recently created a thread about buying a monitor to use with my PS3 but found it to be a bit too small. Hence, I'm looking to get a 32" tv for myself at a decent price and spotted this one on bestbuy.ca

http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/dynex-32-lcd-hdtv-dx-l32-10c/10117350.aspx?path=543615bcd57bf8118f0a1d9ece2378d6en02

It's an inexpensive tv and is made by Dynex (Best Buy's in-house brand) but it is receiving decent reviews and looked pretty darn good in action when I saw it on display. I'll be running this tv using an HDMI cable connected to my PS3 in 720P mode. Any opinions?

P.S. Is there really a difference between a generic HDMI cable that is 49.99 vs an HDMI cable by Monster that is 200+?

Don't pay more than $5 for an HDMI cable! Trust me!

Tease.

imo I would never ever get anywhere near a 60Hz TV.

What's the reason for that?

If you are going to get a gaming HD TV, be sure to pick up the optimal connections for your old systems:

Btw, that TV only has 2 HDMI and 2 component. Try and find a TV with more inputs.

Because movements are really ugly with a 60Hz TV. It leaves a trail.

Well I guess if you just want a functional TV then you may as well go for it. Its basically a *I assume* like a 3 year old TV in terms of design, so theres probably little to complain about if you were happy with LCD TVs 3 years ago.
