Forums - Sony - Sony: Arrogance from recent years “has now gone”

Yeah the 600 price was definitely the draw back. It was just too pricey. I seriously believe if they launch at 249.99 or 299.99 next gen that they will be a serious force to be reckon with.

The problem is, Sony is no longer in the lead.  Now they're fighting Microsoft head to head and Nintendo is running strong fistfulls of cash.  Next gen is going to be a complete toss-up.  And if Nintendo comes out next gen with a comperable system technology wise like the gamecube last gen, they could be in trouble.  Especially if it comes out 2-3 years before the Sony/MS offerings.

Ya see this is a real problem. Sony fans seem to want it all. A powerhouse machine costs LOTS OF MONEY! lol.

People act like oh yea just make it cheaper. But the excpectations of the HD fans is very high indeed. For Sony to make a machine like the PS3 it had to be very high priced. It cost what ~$800 to make it? I mean come on. Oh make me a powerfull machine, BUT, also make it cheap lol. Good luck with that. =0)

This goes to the other side as well. People are all like oh yea just make the Wii or Wii2 a powerhouse and pwn everyone. But Nintendo is in even a worse situation than Sony. They have to make a PROFIT on there machines lol. And a $300 or $400 Wii/Wii2 would lose a lot of the casuals that have made the Wii what it is today.

Sorry for horrible off topic but this needed to be said.

OT: Um it only does everything is aragant? idk i never saw it that way. At least its pretty low key aragance for Sony lol.

Good for Sony, and good for us. Now if only Sony fanboys lost their arrogance...

I can see that happening right around when California starts making money...

Sony's arrogance can never truly vanish. The Kevin Butler ads are not funny and I don't find them like that. At all. The ads need to show people gathering around and having fun with one another when playing the PS3; the Wii ads got the advertisement right as they showed diversity with races of friends, young and old, and family; just how it should be like if people gathered around to play a board game.

On top of that, the Kevin Butler ads show too much pride, and pride goes a long way because Sony is in last place and they are in no position to act all high and mighty. This is my opinion, so don't take offense to it as me flaming the system, Sony's marketing, and Sony itself; I just don't like their advertising, even though they do have good products like the Bravia HDTVs and the PS3, and it's a good system.

And to agree with NeoRatt, if the PS3 'only does everything,' why can it play games from 1994 and not 2000?? That is one major fault that Sony is advertising until you read the fine print on the PS3 box. But hey, it's Sony's decision on how they want to advertise the PS3. People (like the users who replied on this thread) may like the humor in the Kevin Butler commercials, I don't because I don't find them funny, that's all

Oh wait, you mean they are not arrogant now? What about Kevin Butler?

Isn't it sorta an oxymoron... no not the right word... but ironic that they say that the arrogance is gone now, but tout "It only does everything"?

But....it does lol

Funny how Sony fanboys can only be the arrogant ones.

Fact of the matter, Fanboys are fanboys, regardless of the console.

Due to the mass amount of Sony hate over the previous years on forums, have made the fanboys come out.

Now just imagine if it were, Nintendo or Microsoft in that position, oh trust me you would see fanboys come out of the damn sky.

Don't even go there.

If you can show me instances where big publication sites like gametrailers , IGN ,X-play (Adam's soapbox) and destructoid have lashed out at 360/wii owners then you may have a point........other wise you dont.

N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!

This.

I find KB funny when he talks shit about Natal or Wii. Coming from the Hip Hop community i HAVE to find it funny.

The hole "It does everything" is stupid, thats the Unofficial slogan for the Ipod, since they actually do EVERYTHING!
