Or it could be that the last time CliffyB teased awesome news, it turned out to be Marcus and Dom skins in Lost Planet 2, something we knew about before he even tweeted the teasing message.  Granted, this looks to be the real deal, a new game announcement.  But that's just what it is, an announcement of an announcement.  I know I'm sick of people announcing that at some point they are going to announce something.  It's about as boring as a developer that yes, they are indeed working on a game of some sort that at some point could possibly be released on a console or multiple consoles.

EDIT:  I'd also like to add that generally, the hype surrounding this kind of announcement is usually fueled by speculation.  But I think the general concensus is that the game in question is Gears of War 3, and that it will be XBox360 exclusive.  Possibly Shadow Complex 2 as well, also XBox360 exclusive.  Not a lot of things to speculate on.

does jimmy fallon really get millions of viewers?  i don't have any facts to back me up but I was under the impression jimmy's show was doing pretty bad.  honestly, i feel like gears 3 deserves better treatment then a jimmy fallon reveal but maybe that's just me.  oh well, either way something is getting revealed, do me a favor and start a new thread once it is announced. xD

I'll buy Gears of War 3 simply because I want to know what happens after 2. 1 was overall a "meh" game. But 2 blew me out of the water.

so people in this thread have called me stupid and stuff for being excited to hear about a new Epic game and these same people were hyping the hell out of the "big announcement" on GTTV that ended up being the new Socom.

Anyways, OT, Gears of War 3 will be a megaton announcement. If it's a new game...I'm not sure, I'll have to see it.

@J-man: Hey, just because there's a lot of PS and Wii fans here, doesn't mean they're all fanboys who hate anything not related to their consoles, let alone even hate the Xbox.

P.S. I do love me some SOCOM, so personally I wasn't disappointed by that announcement.

yeah I hear you guys I wouldn't be surprised at all if it is only something on the same level as like Shadow Complex was, and to be honest I wouldn't be disappointed by an announcement like that at all since I'm a big fan of Epic and their games. Also remember though that Epic said they will not release any games this year so would they really announce something like Shadow Complex a year before release? Also there was the leaked cover of that magazine coming out next month that said "Gears of War 3 revealed."

Edit:  Its the new 2010 Preview mag for EGM.  The evidence is starting to rise that it might be Gears 3.
