Forums - Sales - BHR-3 keeps badgering me... so... when could PS3 overtake 360?

and now your saying that GOW 3 didn't boost hardware for the PS3 in America.......ok. I still think your way off in even thinking that the PS3 is going to outsell the 360 for the next 3 months or so in America. Its going to do this with what new software releases? Modnation Racers versus Splinter Cell Conviction, Alan Wake, and Crackdown 2. I just don't see it happening. I do think it will probably outsell the 360 in this weeks numbers due to the supply increase and the wave of Heavy Rain, GOW 3, and FFXIII, but I think that will be its last week for a while.

If the ps3 manages to stay in stock, it should develop a new level to were it will stay for most of the year.. which should be above 100k at the least.

Supply has been the main drive of ps3 sales for the entire year, the games sadly did not boost it as much as they could have because of supply. Clearly there is demand, and this week should show a noticable increase in HW sales.

In the U.S the ps3 has been severily supply constrained, and I don't even know if there are shortages in OTHERS.

thats what it shows...  but past performance is no guide to future returns.

the end of this year has the potential to change things dramatically.

but if it is late 2011/early 2012 then that is one hell of a performance by MS this gen..

Yup Microsoft didn't screw around this gen, curious to see what they got planned for next gen.

For me...

No shortages = PS3 over 360 in Americana by little.

Then why did ioi himself say that the only week there were any significant shortages for the PS3 was the week of GoW3 release and before that there were still plenty of PS3's?  We not trusting ioi anymore?
