I want to have an overview of the Halo universe. Could you help me out and tell me what happended first (including books)?

So please give me a correct order:

• Halo Legends (movie)
• Halo Bloodline premiere (HB 2-5) (Book)

Okay, it all started with Reach, but what happened after?

4. ???

Would be cool if you could help me out. I am just reading my first Halo book and I really like it. I plan to play / read / watch the whole universe again in the right order.

Halo: The Cole Protocol
Halo Wars
Halo Fall of Reach/Halo Reach (both depict same event)
Halo CE/The Flood (Book is based on the game)
Halo First Strike/Uprising (both happen around the same time)
Halo 2/Halo ODST (happened concurrently. If you want to be specific ODST happened between levels 3 and 4 of Halo 2)
Halo 3

I dont know anything about halo hell jumper or bloodline or legends.

But please try to read them for the fun...Because if you are going to be sucked in its history you will see that some stuff in its timeline does not make sense...

1. Contact Harvest (book) 2525
2. The cole protocol (book) No year avalaible but takes place between Contact Harvest and the fall of Reach.
3. The fall of reach (book) The book starts before Contact Harvest but the main plot is at the same time period as Halo Reach (game) 2517-2552
4. Halo Reach 2552
5. Halo Combat Evolved = The flood (book) 2552
6. First Strike (book) 2552
7. Halo 2   2552
8. Ghosts of Onyx (same time period as Halo 2, but i'ts not about the chief) 2552
9. Halo 3: ODST 2552
10. Halo 3 2552

Didn't read Helljumpers, but it should be set before Combat Evolved...

Just try to read the books in their timeline (the one I and spartan117) made.. (But maybe skip the forerunners cause you have to wait a few years before the whole trilogy is out);.

And if you can let us know what you think about the books ^^'

That was funny and it also made me want an HD remake of Halo 1 & 2.

Everyone mostly has the chronology down here. But you should def read the books, at the very least try to read Ghosts of Onyx before Reach comes out this fall. The whole book is dedicated to explaining the creation of the Spartan 3's and what separates them from the Spartan II's. Though to be honest the book is pretty depressing. It will help alot though with your backstory lore for Reach since you play as a team of Spartan III's in the game.

I am reading Reach right now, so you say I should read Ghosts of Onyx next?

What about Harvest, this one should happen way before Ghosts and even reach.
