Can we use "ever" a little more strictly? Do we really need to exaggerate every single time we play a game? I doubt that these games are really the best ever, and I doubt that we are the people best suited to make these claims, and I doubt that the title of "best game ever" can change so easily.

You forgot the the best use of ever for the PS3 fanboys used every month of every year. "Will the PS3 ever beat the 360 by the end of the year?"

i only used ps3 games in the example there coz they're the most common i've seen on the forums here. it's just an example.

The PS3 fanboys are the best example because they are really the main ones doing it. Well...not just on this site but many. PS3 fanboys run the internet whilst 360 and Wii owners spend more time with their product because of the replay value.

It would be nice if people would stop using it, but well, I guess there's an upside- we know who to take seriously. If someone thinks they have to use superlatives and ever to make a point, then their point is moot. It's safe to say that nobody here has played EVERY game made, thus insisting that it's the best is simply impossible. And thus, we can know to ignore them.

HELL NO!

Why?

Cause MGS4 IS in fact the best game EVER! How would you like me to say that? MGS4 is the best game of all time? I guess I could live with that is it really necessary though?

Also, with all the negativity surrounding FFXIII, I'm surprised people are saying it's the best game of all time.

Lastly, don't you agree that video games are ever evolving? I believe they are. Honestly, coming from someone who'se been around since the NES days, video games are progressively getting better. So don't be surprised if the next generation creates the next "BEST GAME EVER!!!one one"

But at the end of the day: MGS4 = greatest game EVER!
