Forums - Website Topics - Auto-update forum pages when a new post is made

I don't know how difficult this would be from a programming standpoint, or how many resources it would take to implement, but does anyone know if it would be possible to make forum pages auto-reload or something when a new post is made?

Around the Network

And beyond the programming and resource issue, I don't want to be halfway through a post when the page reloads.

we dont need that. we have the chatroom for that

plus the already overworked servers would give ioi the middle finger.

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=76669&page=1

you can view a few screenshots from the game in my photo album here; http://www.vgchartz.com/photos/album.php?album=2312

yes, this is vonboy's alt account. i can't log into my original account, and i'm not sure if i will ever be able to.

That would take so much more bandwidth

Impractical. It would require constant traffic from the server to the page, and I don't want VGC slower than it already is.
