MGS4 is a very very short game once you remove the cutscenes. The stealth is very dumbed down from the older games if you've played them and it lacks challenge because of it (as well as other things removing challenge...but stealth is meant to be the big thing about the game). The online is just garbage and not even worth mentioning as a feature. Story is also garbage but I don't want to go into it in detail.
Batman - If you were a fan of the 90s animated series then that alone should sell you on this. If not then it just a really great comic book game, the first Batman game I ever played where Batman actually played like Batman...you sneak around using stealth to take out enemies, stalking them from shadows, from above or below. The brawler parts of the game are also very fluid and well done. Story is top notch also and there is a side quests of sorts with your solving riddles left across Arkham by The Riddler than also give something to do. The challenge rooms after you beat the game are also really fun.

I colored the parts I found funny and I disagree with all of them except the Brawler part which is actually true.
OT: Erm, seeing as you've never played any of the MGS, I wouldn't recommend it..(Although you're missing one of the most epic series ever made)
I would say go for God of war collection, it's 2 games for the price of 1. 2 great games(if you like hack n slash)that is... unless you like pretty graphics over gameplay then I would recommend you getting Arkham Asylum.
