This is a list from that was on a News feature on VGChartz. These are the top selling Virtual Console games. If you noticed, Mario appears in at least 7 of these games above. He is apparently a very influential character. The Virtual Console service has been very beneficial to Nintendo, and this chart proves it. Nintendo has made 11 million dollars on Super Mario Bros. 3, a game that was RELEASED 20 YEARS AGO. It has also sold over 2 million copies worldwide since it showed up on VC. Nintendo has made almost the same amount of money on the original Super Mario Bros, which was released an entire 25 YEARS AGO. If you ask me, that is VERY impressive. If you add it all up, Nintendo has made about 42,522,000 dollars on the top 7 Mario games that were released at least 10 years ago. These Mario games have also sold 8,712,600 copies. If Nintendo can make that much money on games that were released so long ago, then Nitendo can do anything.
