lol everyone? no , mostly 360 fanboys who Want it to be huge

correct. i think its it aint gonna be as big as everyone thinks because in the end the games are gonna suck and be annoying. not having a controller really limits the games and you all know it!

There is a question of whether we are more or less limited by having a controller or not.  There are a wide range of games that are NOT the same using the PS3 or 360 pad controllers, that having no controller would be an advantage over.

idk and most games you could do by yourself in real life like talking to a boy and fishing oh and its way better in real life

because it looks purty

ITT: Sony Defense Force in full swing. It's funny how they try so hard.

Anyway, I completely hope it fails as well as the Move. A friend of mine wants them to take off, considering it will end up making gaming incredibly niche and put pressure on Nintendo to start trying to get back that fanbase they once abandoned. However, I've pretty much have given up on that notion, and realized that gimmick games are going to sell more than they should, especially after "Just Dance" sold 2 million pretty easily, which is probably more than every other Ubisoft game on the Wii combined. This is the direction of the gaming community now, as games are simplified and tuned down, much like the rumors of Socom 4 being simplified to appeal to a larger audience. So there will be an rapid increase of shovelware on both systems. At least half the games shown for the Move fit into this category. Can almost guaranteed that Natal will be in the same boat.

It's all in the design.

If developers want to come up with something original that can only be done on a controllerless interface (or simply isn't fun or interesting with a standard controller), then you could have a potential selling point for Natal.

While there are plenty of limitations to standard interfaces (pad, joystick, mouse keyboard, whatever), the trick is using camera recognition controls to overcome those limitations in really clever and innovative ways.

So there's a lot of potential for failure here too once you get past the whole initial impact of "hey I'm not using a controller and my character is responding!" and gradually shift into "hey this game would sure be a lot easier to play if I could use a gamepad."

If the game would work well with a standard interface, then you're already teetering on the edge of using camera tracking controls as a novelty. We'll see what they come up with at this year's E3. Hopefully it will be more of column A and less of column B.

lol, agreed

about the vista comment, vista totally sucks. sadly i use it on this PC im using right now, but it sucks. just cuz of marketing vista, it doesnt make vista better. the performance that vista delivers is horrible. yeah it sells a lot, but that doesnt reflect its performance. yea windows 7 was much better, but in my opinion, 7 was simply a second crack at vista. sure there were many other OS before that, but 7 really seems to bethe "actual windows vista" and vista was just a beta, if that makes sense. i think this is how natal will play out. its gonna be horrible at the start, but MS will slowly build on it. all said i still hate motion controllers nor will ever buy one xD

if its for casual gamers, then its not for me.

In the end if it will not offer favorite X360 games to be fully playable with Natal than i don't see Natal successful.
X360 user base is mainly Halo/Gears fans.If games Like Halo:R ,GOW3,Fable 3 won't be fully playable from beginning to end only by Natal than most X360 owner won't buy it.Also IMO Natal as a platform will have mid-success for a year but after that sales of games dedicated for Natal will go down. Also I can't see happening High budget game for Natal.Expect Wii Sports/Play type of games for Natal.
I will be betting 4-5mln LTD for Natal.

I highly doubt they will be able to even sell 10 million lifetime units of Natal, which represents 1/4 of their total userbase.

LMAO! they will have sold 10 million units before the year is out, they are putting everything into natal and sales will be through the roof, ps move on the other hand I think will have a hard time reaching 10 million lifetime.

And people in here saying they never knew people said natal was going to be big, what planet have you been on? ALL the news sites, gaming sites and developers have nothing bt good to say about natal, natal has the media on its side, ps move doesn't, that will be the deciding factor.

Because it's really Microsoft's last hope to end this gen in 2nd. If Natal fails the X360 will fail from then till the end of the gen, if Natal is a success then the X360 may stay in second. So a lot of X360 fans are hoping it'll do well.

Errm no, the 360 slim will gurantee 2nd place when its released without the need of natal, natal will just add to the sales, the ps3 slim sold loads and is only doing well now due to the early release of the slim, the 360 slim will sell MUCH more than the ps3 slim.
