Forums - Sony - GT5 will use Playstation Move for accurate Head-Tracking

The upcoming Polyphony Racing Simularion Gran Turismo 5  will take advantage of the Playstation Move for its Head Tracking Feature.

"Apperently the Move will not be used to control the Car itself but to pick up movement of the Head, by attaching the Device to a optional "Head Gear" the Player needs to wear to detect their Head Movements. "

well, no matter how awesome that might work for the game, i for one will NOT be playing with that glowing Ball on my head!

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Yeah, I read that over at Kotaku. Smart Move on Sony's part. Though I hope they make the headpeace pretty cool (like a racing helmet or something) so people don't feel silly wearing it.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

and the cam probably automatically takes a photo of the winner, so that everyone else sees they were owned by someone who duct-taped the move to his head, huh? ;)

that would actually be pretty cool, but its's more of a Modnation Racers thing

Are Poly gonna make 3 screen GT5 an option? Moving your head left or right and still havig to have your eyes on the screen is gonna be quite hard.

i am not certain, but i think multiple screens for GT5 were always an option, of course as far as i know you would need one Playstation for each screen, but don't quote me on that.

as for head tracking, its supposed to pick up subtle movements and exxaggerate them on the screen, that is why the Move is ideal for that kind of Motion detection.

i think it's pretty good explained here:

Cheers for the link. Definately want to try it out. :)

I was lucky enough to try 3 screen FM3 at my friends house. We all took a TV each and our 360's. It was amazing. But it will be awhile before I can afford a 3 screen setup. LOL.

Come on, did you guys forget it's April 1st?!

Thanks for editing my post, Stof!

Is there anything this game WONT do?
