Well for starters you can kill people with ease because you can just give a photon about to hit them mass (photons are massless).  Since it's already going at c (ie light speed) it'd probably kill them instantly....and depending on how much mass you gave it, it may actually cause some other side effects as well.

Second, I can create black holes at a whim...just take any photon and dial up it's mass to an absurd level and then you've got yourself a black hole (although I'm not entirely certain it wouldn't vanish due to entropy before it did anything significant)

Third, since I can control the fundamental properties of light, I can turn light into anything I can imagine. To try to explain this chart might help:

This is a chart of the elementary particles, as you'll notice the photon is a Boson, but what makes it a Boson is its mass, charge, and spin.  For these purposes I'll assume I can alter a photon but once altered it's beyond my control (since it technically isn't a photon anymore at that point).   Those familiar with the concept of elementary particles should be able to quickly convince themselves that you can thus create anything you can imagine from ambient lighting by changing those properties.

Fourth, I think it might actually be possible to alter the laws of physics by introducing exotic bosonic particles.  You couldn't rewrite them entirely, but you should be able to (at least locally) add/modify existing laws by having photons near you become new exotic particles.  Although without some pretty careful planning this is probably dangerous since the effects of this would be ...well...chaotic.

Fifth, time travel.  This one is a bit tricky but essentially by giving photons a negative mass you could (theoretically) create a tachyonic photon.  According to special relativity by violating the light speed barrier you can actually have a particle arrive before it is sent, how much earlier would be controlled by how negative the mass is (and thus how much faster than light speed it is going).  In effect you could send messages back in time to yourself, the tricky part is in figuring out how to make your past self capable of receiving a message sent via tachyon.  Given the absolute control over particles there are some ways to accomplish it...but it's a bit beyond my ability to explain.

SQRL, you have no idea how much I appreciate this! The 5th power is something I was already goona give my character (when he's powered up) but you've given me a scientific explanation for it! But how would one apply that 4th power? Can it do something other than blow stuff up?
