Sober now, and yes if Heavy Rain supports it I will def get it.  I said the same thing after I beat Heavy Rain that it would be perfect with Move/Natal type controls!

Fuck motion controls

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Maybe. The wife got a little riled when I mentioned another add on to one of the game systems, and I'm more on the fence now about it. I have a Wii already (no I'm not bashing it as a clone I'm just saying I already have experienced this) and haven't loved it that much.

It's pretty stupid to ask right now since they haven't shown anything except Wii knockoffs.

I already have a Wii so I don't need to buy the a whole new set of accessories and games to play the same games. Show me something that I can't do on my Wii, and I'll buy one.

Most things they showed at GDC clearly were "Wii knockoffs", but not all of them. As far as I know the "augmented reality" games like Move Party or Eye Pet can't be done with the Wii. I mean, I totally understand if you think that concept isn't different enough and/or unappealing, but that doesn't mean you should talk as if it didn't exist.

I've seen EyePet and I'm not going to say it's bad but it's definately not something that should conveince anyone to buy a Move.  As for Move Party, I don't know what that is.

::searches::

So it's archery, table tennis, a rail shooter, and a gladiator game?  Yeah, those are still pretty much Wii games with an HD skin.  It's a mini-game collection.  Woohoo?  Haven't Sony fanboys been calling minigame collections and shovelware the same thing for the past four years?

I'm not trying to hate on the Move but so far it's just a bunch of Wii knockoff games.  Those aren't going to make me and many other people buy a Move.  If this were 2007 I would totally buy into it but Sony is very late to the party and I've already gotten over motion controls for the sake of motion controls.

Until they show me something I haven't already played on the Wii I don't really see a reason to bother.

And don't get me wrong, not every game needs to be some new concept I've never seen before, but just like with a console I need some reason to buy into it.  If I'm going to spend $100+ I need something more than Wii knockoffs.

Sony is advertising the Move as something that's true 1:1 and so much better than the Wii, show me that.  That's all I'm asking.  So far all the Move is showing me is that bigger isn't always better.

Based on most PS3 fanboys posts that smacked talk the Wii means that only about 1% of PS3 owners on this site might buy it. But I'm expecting the complete opposite response cuz well, they're fanboys!

So the fact that the motion controller has a far quicker response time, as well as the games have the possibility of looking far better means nothing at all?

Wii controller =/= PS Move as well as the PS3 is far more powerful than the wii.

I don't know... only if it's precise as hell.

So far Sony failed to release a game that shows that, only tech demos.

Ehh.. you got the wrong game. What you described are "Move Sports Challenge" and "The Shoot". "Move Party" is a minigame collection, that uses the Z-Achsis and "augmented reality" and I guess it's a similar concept to Wario Ware Smooth Moves.

The problem most people have had with the Wii is more to do with the games not the controles. Also another thing is many "traditional" would like the option to use a normal controller and not just motion. Many Wii games force motion on you.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st
