The Move is a rip off with no solid software revealed yet. How could anyone but the die hard Sony fans even consider a purchase? Honestly we have a few titles announced but mostly tech demo's from last E3. To be honest I already own a Wii why upgrade to the WiiHD (As Pachter calls Move)? What games can I honestly only play on Move?

The games I've seen so far look like utter crap. Socom the one game I am interested in the slightest can be played with the regular controller so why the heck would I buy a Move. Why would I spend almost 100$ on a controller I already have? Why spend almost 100$ for a controller to play mediocre software when I can buy mediocre software on my Wii today?

With nothing really big pushing Move I see absolutely no sane reason to invest in the peripheral.

Honestly , I think you are being too negative about it. You say that only the die hard Sony fans might buy it, when it's according to you a Wii rip off. Then why buy a wii instead? The games announced so far seem promising, especially Heavy Rain, LBP2 and Socom (are these crappy games?). And most games CAN or could be played with a regular controller, but some are even more awesome with motion control (e.g. all the super mario games were great without it). How about waiting to judge Move after E3. It seems to me that you're not going to buy it no matter how many good games are announced.

I always thought that there is no way I would ever buy a 360, but Natal seems very interesting, so I'll wait and see. There is no reason to call it an Eyetoy rip off without having seen what it can do and even if it is, it might be 10x better than Eye Toy and offer the most impressive games.

I'm pretty certain I will. But mostly for other people: My kids, other family and friends. It'll be another social thing along with Singstar and Buzz.

Only if it has games that support it innovately and those games are interesting to me personally.

Why is it that most people think that all motion control games will be wii-like ???

In the end it's just an analog device (like the pc mouse) and there are many hardcore games can use this  controller: FPS/TPS, adventures like Heavy Rain, strategy games etc.

I don't think Sony is going to push MOVE just for casual gamers. PS3 ist to expensive for that. So please stop comparing every motion control device with wii !!!

The Move is a Wiimote and nun-chuck how can you not compare it? You'd have to be blind in order to not see the obvious, the Move is WiiHD as Pachter said.

Natal is something unique and fresh it can't really be really compared to the Wii except for the fact that it breaks tradition and innovates. But the Move doesn't innovate or add anything to the table it is simply a over glorified WiiMote.

From my point of  view: Wiimote = pc mouse and nunchuck = WASD-keys on my pc keyboard.

I don't call it a copy or a rip-off cause I don't doesn't matter. What matters are the games. Nintendo used their motion control device for casual games which is ok. But it doesn't mean EVERY motion control device will be used for casual games.

If that's what Move is going to be used for than I will not buy it. What I'm hoping for is Move support for hardcore games (like SOCOM, RE5, Heavy Rain, Uncharted etc).

ooh, thats an interesting thought, playing Heavy Rain on a MOVE. That games almost seems ready made for it, and something like that would be what could persuade me to buy a MOVE.

I dont want to just waggle it frantically till I have carpol tunnel tand having people who see me thinking I have developed alzheimers or something.

Most likely not, unless something AMAZING is released that works best with Move. I don't feel like spending 100s on more controllers for just one or two games though.

How many different types of games can you make with a controller-less control scheme ?

I sure hope they've got a lot of creative juice in stock because they'll need it. It sounds just like Microsoft's Surface where they're trying to get rid of controls, as if a keyboard and a mouse suddenly became too unnatural or mundane. Translating human motions into controller input might sound like a great idea, but how far can they push it and adapt it to different gameplay situations?

Color me skeptical.

Not unless it has a REALLY good killer app. I don't hate motion controls, I loathe them.

if i buy it, it'll be based purely on the gmaes and if they appeal to me. as for now no.

15 perfect games that apeal to me.

I think you just pointed out the fundemental flaw. Why would anyone buy the Wiimot.... I mean Move when you don't need it? I mean every big game to incorporate Move can be played with a regular controller. Why buy a Wii instead? Simple it has four years worth of software that uses the controller where as the PS Move will have maybe 20-30 by years end? If you want motion controls why would someone buy the gimmicky rip off when the real product has far more software.

I am being a little negative of course, as for Natal being like the EyeToy I gotta say it is in the sense that all camera technology uses a camera and their for it is very similiar.

Someone pointed out that Move isn't like the Wiimote because it uses a camera (EyeToy) to find the location of the controller and LED lights on the tip of the controllers. However I hope the guy realizes the exact opposite is how the Wiimote works, their is a small camera in every Wiimote that senses where the controller is using LED's set on top of the TV. The technology is way more similiar then Natal is to the EyeToy.

In the end only die hard Sony fans will pick up Move, who else would? Theirs no exclusive killer apps (Maybe after E3) but right now why would anyone spend 100$ for a controller with no software? Yes their are a few games that have been announced that can be played with the Move and regular controller. So why would someone sain choose to play the same game with a Move controller for an extra 100$.

To me its just illogical this early on to buy a Move, wheres the exclusive content? The AAA games? What can Move do that NintenCan't!
