It all really depends on when we stop this gen. If we stop the moment one of the two leaves the field the numbers will be far different than when they BOTH leave the field (as well as who leaves first or second, etc)

I think it will be 3-5 million, with sony not having shortages we all know that gap would'ev shrunk way more.

I seriously doubt the PS3 will over take the 360 in America. Atleast anytime foreseeable in the next few years

If somehow things were to get worst I could easily see MS lowering the price of the arcade and elite even more, even with a hardware revision. It's Microsoft for God's sake, they lost billions on the original XBox just to get a foot in the door in the console war.

I think It's pretty apparent that MS wants to do well in America. Looking at the majority of their exclusives and best selling titles they come from US software makers to. Their audience is very western centric so losing to Sony in the US would hurt quite a bit.

Its funny how people actually believe these made up stories by Sony of these so called 'shortages'. Thats just one big bag of bullsh*t because this is just a cheesy way for Sony to say, hey: we can't sell more consoles in the US than Xbox 360, so we'll blame it on shortages. Come on people, we all know 360 will sell more in the US than PS3, it has nothing to do with shortages. And even if there were, 360 would still be far ahead. Not trying to bash PS3 here, have one myself, but come on. The shortages crap is just ridiculous.

i say under 7m behind the 360 just to be safe but it could be alot lower than that

since jan 2010 till now the 360 has only been able to get about 150k on the gap remember there are massive ps3 shortages in americas probably since jan even and the ps3 is still 300$ what do u think is going to happen once it goes to 249 then to 199 then 149 and finally to 99$?
