Forums - Sony - PS3 60gig B/C surviving owners

I got mine (60gb b/c) in April 2007 for 670$ and ugraded it to a 320gb HDD in july 2008.
I openend it once to vacuum some of the dust but the bigest problem I've ever had is three or four freezes while playing Warhawk and Killzone 2 + the fan got noisyer, beside that it works perfectly fine.

The motor for the optic drive is getting loud, for certain games.
BUT works.

I've got my Ps3 in may 2008 or so
I payed 500 euros for it and it included 2 games and 2 controllers
not bricks playing oblivion right now at it :P



Nov 17th, paid $599, still works to this day



got 60 gig paid $1200 nz dollers with 2 games and two controllers still goes strong got in 2007.



I'm cursed with them been through three now but only one was a launch model the other 2 were sony "refurbished"
first one on ebay like November 07 till June of 09 second June 09 till December 09 most recent one December 09 till march 10

We hear sometimes that they break easily and they will not last until next gen PS3 is introduced so it will be interesting to see your posts.

My 60gig PS3 was GBP 415.00 and got it in September 2007. Doesn’t give me any problems but I vacuum it every few months and I guess this helps.

I believe I got my in 2006.  It still works.  I had issues with what seemed like lockup, but it seems cleared up now.  I payed $499 for it.
