Refrain from playing the game for roughly a week. Then you will realise that you want to play it again. Currently I have gained the fog badge in Ecruteak City, so I am taking a short break.

I can't believe this.

Heart Gold is the most revolutionary Pokemon game I have played. "Refrain from playing the game for roughly a week" is my only advice. Do not give up on the highlight of Pokemon history.

What did you expect? Especially when you buy the same game twice?

Happened to me with Sapphire. Then even moreso with Diamond. Never finished it, and right now, I don't see myself buying another Pokémon game ever again, unless some changes are made and the series becomes fresh again. It's just gotten too boring, predictable and redundant to me after, what, 6, 7, 8 (?) iterations. (Let me count that, just to be sure, R&B, Yellow, G&S, Crystal, R&S, Emerald, LG&FR, D&P, Platinum, and now HG& SS... dang, it's just too much )

Maybe it'll become exciting again with the 3DS, maybe not. We'll see.

I over played Pokemon blue years ago and my GF's yellow one. I had diamond but gave it to my little cousin on his Birthday since noone else got it for him. So I have not really played Pokemon in a very very long time. I am loving SoulSilver though. Can not believe I waited this long to play another Pokemon game =)

People, it's not the game. It's the constant playthroughs.

I'll finish HeartGold at some point, I just like having the region(s) to myself to do what I want. No limits from the story.

using action replay to get every pokemon on a any level makes the game COMPLETELY pointless, i mean, there's no reason to play or even buy a Pokemon game if you are going to use such thing, i hope people don't use it

got the game today, so can't say if i agree or not, easily my most anticipated game in a long time

a 3D game for Wii would be better

i hope the next gen is a 3DS exclusive and cannot trade with D/P/P/HG/SS so cheats get completely out of the way, or even better the battel system changes completely, while keeping the greatness of leveling up, learning moves and endless strategies!

You really need to just get 1 of the games...
