I killed my first Rathian offline, after a 40 minute struggle. After you get used to its patters, it's an easy wyvern actually. Lagiacrus is the real bitch. I can beat him only offline, maybe it's my teamates?

prolly your team mates, I go random pugs on expert servers and 4* lagi usually dies or gets captured in 10-15.

Much to my surprise I now own MH3. Got it for my B-Day. Enjoying it so far. Didn't think I would actually so this is a pleasant surprise. Still only a couple hours in.

What's the best weapon to use against Lagia, assuming you'll be mostly fighting underwater? I'm good with the Long Sword, but I find it kind lacking in water. I think Lances are a good choise, you can black many of his attacks that are tough to dodge (he's frickin' huge!)

anything fire or paralyzing, there is no best weapon, it's whatever you are good at, I use LS the most for lagi because you are basically dodging with power slash in the end to gtfo of his charges, or dodge slash, usually aim for tail first, then chest, then whatever I can hit, LS is really good in water if you are used to it, though tbh GS is prolly the best in water imo because of the crazy combo and far reach when you do draw attacks. I go gunner sometimes to fuck around too, it just depends on your mood. I smashed lagi around with a los hammer for funzy too when I played the JP version. any weapon would work really, as long as it's fire, para, or maybe poison.

Took on the Great Jaggi online with a couple other beginners. Other than them shooting my bombs while I was setting them we were victorious. We did get raped by some flying creature in another quest.

I'll get in some more solo time during the week before heading back online next weekend. Hope to play with some of you guys soon.

Yea Rathian is not that hard really just long. To me 40 min, but only used 2 mega potion, 1 trip back to rest, and 3-4 first aid kits.

It is just hard to get a hit on her head. I keep hitting her wings... And you dont want to come straight in.

I am thinking she would take about 35 min still even now I am used to her attack patterns.
