amp316 must still be lurking, because he contacted me with an offer for help, and we did it with his help. Healing help from my wide-range, his adept use of traps, and a random's quite excellent gunning made that quest pretty easy. Had an awesome moment at the end where we had Rathalos fatigued, constantly re-stunned from flash bombs, and poisoned.

The great baggi hide is a high rank item. You need to do the online quest (HR 40, I think). You should kill the baggi, catching gives you no chance for great baggi hide.

There is no fast way for the armor spheres. My prefered way is the offline mission "Best the Lava Beasts!". First I kill all the uroktors, but I leave the last one alive. Than I stay in area 5. There I mine for advanced armor spheres. After a short while the mining spots respawn and I mine again. I continue this until the "5 minutes left" warning appears. Than I finish the mission, by killing the last uroktor. In the time during the respawning I play a game on my DS. My personal recommendation is "Jam with the band". It takes approx. a half song until the mining spots respawn. The reason for area 5 is, that it is the only place, where advanced armor spheres appear.

I got Vangis, I gem the greaves w/ plus 5 attack and I have a plus 10 perception w/ a slot talisman, I gemmed out raise hunger.

My Vangis skills: Attack Up (L), Sharpness plus 1, Autotracker, Capture Guru.

There is a Deviljho event quest available now, I recommend u do that quest b/c it gives u a better chance of getting a Deviljho gem than the normal 6 star deviljho quests. HR requirement is 31 or higher for this event quest. 

do any PAL hunters still play? im hr 52 so up for any quest :)

Also, I wanted to ask about NeoGAF, if someone knows it there. Registered on their forum just because of this game (or because of their thread about it), after several months still cannot post which seems weird. Does that happen a lot on that site?

So the legend goes, some people's accounts there are held after registration for months or years before they are approved to post. It's one of the most draconian sites on the planet.

Another noob-like question for the pros in here. I have just finished all the Level * Quests online and it will not let me go to the Level ** Quests. Also, my HR is not high enough to do any of the Event Quests (I am only a 7). Do I need to attain a certain HR to get to Level **? If so, I guess that means I have to re-do some of the Level * Quests until I get to a certain HR level? Oh, I have not completed the Level ***** Quests off line yet, if that makes any difference.

You have to complete the Barroth urgent quest.  It doesn't count if you help someone else complete the quest.  It has to be your urgent.

I tried the Lagi arena challenge again yesterday and I was able to slay him. I needed 15:57. Just one minute less and I would have qualified. But at least I got 3 Lagi Coins. Now I could even make one part of the ranger armor. I am still not very good in arena quest, but it seems I become better.

@woopah: The next time I am online should be in week 37. My HR is also 37.

I have not seen an Urgent Request for anything online yet. Do they come and go or should I have seen it right after I finished the the Level * Quests? Oh, also I remember that the quests seem to rotate and you do not always see all of them at once. Could it be that I still have Level * Quests to complete and they were not available at the time?
