I'm back on again. Anyone willing to help with the Sharq event?

Damn, I've been away for too long (Demon's Souls is as addicting as this game!!!).
I might be on later this week. Is the Sharq quest the one that gives Sharq tickets for the Sharq Lance?
Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...
w00t. Last sharq ticket and one more unnerving talon. One to go, then i get to wait until i'm HR 31 to get some stones :/

I just started gunning myself. I'm making a Uragaan plus set to sleep bomb Alatreon. Then I'll probably make Alatreon armor for the high defense and evasion boost, and Vangis armor for the skills Load Up and Attack up(M) which I can gem to Attack up(L). Right now I have Lagia plus and Ingot plus, which work well in the low rank games. I only play Low Rank games for now, until I get used to gunning, which should be around the same time I finish the Uragaan set. Then I should be sufficiently skilled enough for sleep bombing. |
I was also thinking buying the Uragaan plus armor gunner set, I have the materials to buy the whole set. I also have the materials to buy the jhen mohran gun and the gunner armor set. I'll check Monster Hunter 3 wikia and see what I should get.
The arena is a different, savage experience. It was a helluva rocky adjustment to be forced to choose between worthless-in-water sword-and-shield, the clunky Great Sword, and two weapon types i've never even touched before.
Didn't help at all that they only give ten potions. Not hard to do, but it'll be a hard slog to get enough Ludroth coins...

1. If you're on on peak hours for your region, sure. Randoms usually don't screw you over in this game.
2. No, sadly. It prompts a scramble to spam a quest if you're after a reward item (like my recent quest to get sharq tickets). But they come back in cycles.

We're all over the place in terms of HR, so i'm hesitant to just quote an hour. To *qualify* for the High Rank quests, i'd say you're looking at 50 hours at the barest minumum (i'm at 65 hours, but a lot of that is offline time which doesn't qualify, and i'm only 24 or so, still unqualified for high rank)
To just be able to play, you really just need a bit of experience. Strength only comes from loot, but a smart player at any level can at least not be a burden, and even contribute, even with people of significantly higher level.

| Soriku said: OK. I played the demo and I managed to beat both monsters without much problem (and also I got the hang of the controls really well after playing for a few hours) so I hope I'm good enough for the full game :P |
If you can beat the demo (which explains nothing), then you'll be golden.

What about you? Where've you been lately?
I'm three Ludroth coins and 16 chunks of Pelagicite away from awesomeness incarnate. You need to get back on board.

I'll be unable to play until the end of the month. After that, I intend to make up for lost time!
