Do you honestly like Kratos as a game character??

He's the best badass motherfucker in any media ever (other than John Rambo and John McClain). However, Rambo had a cool story, and even cried at the end of the first movie. Kratos will never be a deep character, but he's a damn cool one.

P.S. Gordan Freeman is still the best character ever though.

For someone who has not played any of the other games, I could see you thinking that, You really need to play GOW 1 and 2 to really understand the story, and see what Kratos went through, Kratos had a lot of help from gods and others to be where he is, for the better, So play the other games first before really making your mind up, you can get the GOW collection on PS3 for 30 bucks, and its about 35-50 hours of gameplay and a lot of trophies on one disc. To understand GOW you have to play the others.

The banner on the God of War III game page makes me laugh every time I see it. He's got a bit of the ol' Cheese factor going on (I'm angry so I'm going to make an angry face rawr! )

He's not the deepest character out there, but he doesn't really need to be...

Yes, I like Kratos.

In almost every other game, you play as the good guy.  Kratos is both good and bad.  It's a refreshing change.

I havent finished the game yet, but up to the point Im at, I have seen nothing good that he has done

I've seen alot of people asking for help, only to be ignored, While I do agree I should play part 1 & 2...I doubt my mind will be changed about him

Like means different things. I like the character Kratos, I think it really works for the story they've created. And it is a good story in the gaming world. So I wouldn't have them do the character any other way.

Would I want to be his buddy? No I think not, too much baggage. The guy needs serious counselling.

But, you know, the Gods shat on him and the Titans used him as a pawn in their own quest for revenge. That's going to seriously mess with your head.

Best character in Tales of Symphonia.

I was about to write "I really loved the fact that he was Lloyd father. Would have loved to see more out of their relationship, though... Oh, sorry, wrong game!".

You blew it away. I thought you should know it.

Honestly I figured some one else would have beat me to the punch. To be more specific, I thought G-Value or Soriku would have beat me to the punch.

He has that so lame I enjoy watching him thing going for him.....so Im ok with him as a character.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Ok, he's an angry, bitter man who doesn't help people.  Which is still an interesting change from every other game.

That just makes him a generic "anti-hero."

I like Kratos in the same I like Pacman.  Kratos exists to kill monsters and smite the occasional god, Pacman exists to eat pellets and and munch the occasional ghost.  Both have backstories, both star in fun games, and violence is a central theme in both of their lives.  Since I like Pacman, clearly I must also like Kratos.

Certainly not the most interesting character.
