I'd much rather be playing Kratos,Nathan Drake,Master Chief etc....these are new heroes of gaming for a new era.

Most of Nintendo's franchises look and play like they were thought up by a four year old.The exceptions being Zelda and Metroid Prime, which will never see the light of day on a high spec powerful HD console they way Nintendo goes about things...

Sony make the grestest icons of current gaming.Kratos is an amazing hero :) or anti hero...depends what you think of what he does really doesn't it.

He is a bit of a one man death machine !

He has had a tough time of it tho.

On balance he is a bit of a cock but I enjoy the games. Personally I would rather if he didnt speak at all !

Love/hate relationship. Like so many others, he's fallable and has made some bad decisions, and I don't support all his actions, but he does some things right too, and I can relate to him as a character (which puts him way ahead of Gordon Freeman, Jack from Bioshock and Isaac Clarke in my book).

All of this really came through in the third game though, because he really became a deeper and more fleshed out character there. He felt much more onesided in 1 & 2.

Can't say I do.

Then again, God of War bored me to death in general - the (non)-character of Kratos was just one part of it.

Maybe like is the wrong word but I do find Kratos an appealing character.

Its a bit like Arnold Schwarzeneggers acting. Soooo bad but wonderful at the same time. GET TO DA CHOPPA!

Kratos has the personality of a stump, plus he's just a big a-hole. I'm holding out on GWIII, I kinda feel like I've already played it. Graphics only go so far with me. I played Darksiders a month or so ago. War is another character with the personality of a stump.

I love him, but i like the gods and titans much more, i kinda felt sorry for them
i hoped that they would kill kratos sometime...
but great game and great character
but hermes is the best! :DD

ONE OF THE BEST CHARACTERS OF ALL TIME.

I'm Back! - Proud owner of the best doomed handheld of all time!

There's only a few characters I think of 'liking'. Manny in Grim Fandango, Drake in Uncharted, Dog in Half Life 2, Ethan in Heavy Rain once his accent settles down...

Kratos is fine for what he is in the game, but I don't find him likable. He's kind of fun to play and feel that channeling of rage, but like 99% of video-game characters he simply doesn't have enough depth to really feel anything about particularly from my point of view.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

In all honesty he is pretty boring yes. He doesn't have a stand out personality like other characters have, nothing to really define him as a character. The whole dark pissed off character is something that is obviously done very often but in comparison to other notible ones such as say Marcus Fenix,Dante,Shepeard etc etc i think he lacks that little spark to make him stand out. The game is amazing though and is not really about its story, it is more about the gameplay, which i enjoy very much, one of my favourite all time games for sure, possibly my favourite ps3 game.
