I think 300k for PS3 this week was very much possible if only damn Sony sorted out their stock issues in the Americas.

i agree, such a waste indeed :/

It turns out they put their PS3 supply in Europe. The fact that they make more money per PS3 sold in europe compared to the US it's actually over all not that bad.

I am from the Netherlands, there were a couple weeks of shortages here in Europe as well, but maybe not as severe as in the US.

Lately VGChartz' US sales predictions weren't that good, we will have to wait for NPD's figures to get a better view on the extend of these shortages.

PS3 vs 360 sales

I knew it would be over 40K!

TheSource said 26K - 30K I think.

Yikes. I missed the days where Wii outsold PS3 like 6 to 1 over there, looks like those days aint coming back. Maybe this will set a fire under Nintendo's ass to actually release a decent amount of games in Japan and push 3rd parties to do the same.

there one month ago, in france, ps3 120 gb was in shortage, but now there is a lot of bundle: heavy rain, gow 3 , uncherted 2...

@ Neos

Or estimates.

Anyway I think VGChartz data is well off at this point, as 33.5 million PS3s were sold to retail by the end of 2009, meanwhile there have been many new well selling bundles/cheap standalone units available and VGChartz still isn't there while Sony's next fiscal quarter nearly ends. This despite the many corrections since VGChartz started posting their estimates.

PS3 vs 360 sales

Yup pretty much expected. And the next 2-3 weeks will be good for the PS3. good FW for yakuza too

I don't think Torne was properly accounted for... it sold 15.5k bundles actually, while Y4 didn't push hardware at all. :/

i didn't even know about torne, that is news to me.
