element themed levels.

Especially water levels.  If I have to raise and lower water levels one more time, I'm going to turn the game off immediately.

Running, Jumping, end of levels

An all too common occurence in gaming is when you have to control something in the game, I sure wish developers would think of something new so we didn't have to control things in games so much.

They have done this.

It's called the cut scene, which is coincidentally an all too common occurrence in gaming.

cutscenes have thier place and can add to a game. However, many games jumped on the wagon that should not have and now they are waaaaaayyyy overdone on many games. Not to mention the the time and space they take up in some games. A quick 3-5minute cutscene now and then is good. A constant 20-30 minute one tends to make me just get bored and shut off the game.

Exactly.  A short cut scene is fine, but if I can throw a half a bag of potato chips down my throat during one, it's too much.

Goddamned Bats

Common Occurrence in JRPG's:

Having the all powerful, world saving/destroing thingamajigg, snatched away before your eyes by the bad guy, after you spent hundreds of hours getting to it, beating millions of enemies and hundreds of bosses in the process

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

I'll go with sth. in almost every game:

winning

Umm, I would have to say defeating an enemy.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
