Excellent first week figures! I think this is the highest any PS3 1st party title has scored, with Uncharted 2 at a close second. The game could have easily reached 1.3-1.5 million copies sold if it had not released later in Europe, but despite that, GOWIII is a beast!

This is great news for Sony. heavy Rain, FF13, GOW3 all sold very well. Congrats. Sadly GOW3 ruined Dante's inferno for me as I decided to rent it after just finishing GOW3.

It's definitely a world of difference from last winter/spring, when Killzone 2 and inFamous failed to impress, and pretty much everything multiplatform did better on 360. Slim's really changed the game for Sony.
