Forums - Nintendo - 3DS Too advanced???

Okay so when i first read about the 3DS, believe me, i was massively impressed. I though it would be soo cool to have a 3D pikachu walking around or Link swinging his sword, but is it too early for this? I mean there isn't even a console which plays in 3D YET! Another concerning thing is the price. There's no way this piece of equipment will be cheap by any means. Affordibility is a huge issue regarding the 3DS. I can't imagine it being nearly as affordable as the DS was. I would imagine somewheres around a $200 price tag, which is the same as a Wii.

Now just to clear this up, i think the 3DS will be superbly cool and i am now very excited for Nintendo's E3, well the 3DS part anyways. What do you think regarding how the 3DS will fair in the market?

I don't know why, but I kinda think Nintendo just hit the jackpot with some special technology making it work in a decent price and hopefully without those special glasses.

No.

Hell no.. the dsi can do it..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

If Nintendo can find a way to make it work, and make it accessible, I don't see why it would be too early. Remember it won't even come out until a year from now.

Nintendo don't like to make things pricey at launch.

They also don't like to reduce their prices after launch, but I doubt when this 3DS comes out it is much more than the DSi launch price.

It can't be launched for more than 180 bucks...

that's too much for a mainstream portable console.

Of course not. The real deal is the idea!!

Nintendo is full of great ideas!

The iphone is extremely expensive and that is very mainstream.

might be... hope not though, if it's like they say it'll be (provided with one killer game) the first handheld i'll NEED to get at launch, i don't want to loose an arm & a leg over it :(
