wow, 119 people actually think move is an original idea...
not even the commercial for it is original, come on!

lol

Did you saw a secret poll result "Move is an original idea" 119 votes? Obviously, according by the post here, the person that voted no, were all agreeing it wasnt original and it was inspired. But a copy?!?! Did you forgot the mandatory cam and the tech they showed a few years ago... You guys (you and lot of others) are the one that come in the Sony forum to ridiculise his fan and company. If you think its a copy then obviously you live in denial and dont like Sony. You can simply stop posting here.

lol

Wow, almost 1/3 of the site is completely blinded by Sony fanboyism.
Doesn't leave many Sony fans with any objectivity, there must be a few, I have faith!

Being objective means realizing that it is inspired but not a copy. The problem is with the question, not with Sony fan. How could it be a copy if it uses is own tech. A copy would be illegual to release. Could you still find something to affirm the contrary? I have faith!

This is so insaine that anyone can say that Move isn't a direct clone of the Wiimote and Nunchuck. Take one look at the Move and its peripheral controller. Heck even the wrist strap is present though I think the Nunchuck rip off will need a wrist strap too. Seriously even the videos are identicle to Nintendo's PR videos. The sword play archery etc...etc....etc... its directly copying Nintendo in every way shape and form.

Even the technology behind the motion tracking is the same except backwards. The sensor bar is two LED's while the Wiimote has a camera that tracks its position by scanning the LED's. While the PS3 has a camera instead of sensor bar with the LED on the controller instead. The Move wasn't inspired by the Wiimote it is a Wiimote!

I think if the WAGGLE Sr. hadn't weathered the storm of "FAD, WAGGLE" BS that Sony and MS propagated through their fanboy network then neither company would have tried to compete with the Wii WAGGLE Sr.. For companies that "aren't in competition" with Nintendo they sure copy them like they are.

The claim that Sony was thinking about it 10 years ago don't mean sh*t they didn't have the balls to introduce it in the 7th generation until they realized their years of FAD/WAGGLE propaganda had failed. I love to hear how original Sony is being I can't wait to play PiiSPORTS and The Legend of Kratos: Ocarina of Betrayal. New! Super Sockboy Bros. is totally different from Mario because they are electricians and I hear Sony is developing an exercise system called Pii Sit and it's original because you only exercise your butt muscles the controller is a custom wireless butt mat. It should be popular with all the PS3 couch potatoes it will get them in to condition to sit through the epic 50 hour+ sausage fests they love to play.

I hear Sony's next innovation will be to introduce an SD video downgrade "upgrade" for the PS3 if the WAGGLE Jr. doesn't pan out.

Why would they not answer the consumer demand if theres one? Whatever they said in the past, if consumers demand something today, they should be offering it. The contrary would be a problem. Anyway, did you forgot the mandatory cam?

Between, eyetoy kinetic, eyetoy bowling and eyetoy mini games released long before the Wii. Now they shouldnt do upgraded version with their new controller because Nintendo released similar games on Wii?

P.S.: This site dont need anymore fanboy troll. If you dont like Sony or Microsoft you can stick to the Wii forum or calm down and reduce sarcasm usage.

You really think that?

What you describe only means the Wii influenced Sony to release Move sooner.   Not that the Wii influenced Move itself.  Move = original idea.

Actually, the whole point is that Move WAS influenced by the Wii. Sony was working on "motion control", remember they were still unsure of what is was to be called. Move only got its breakthrough after the Wii's release, a long time after at that too.

How could Move be orginal, when its so similar. Surely alot of inspiration was drawn from the Wii?

There is no Knowledge that is not Power

Oh Squilliam you clever troll, type copy and inspired at same tame so stupid fanbays will by with guys how only think move was inspired by wii (^_~)

There is no consumer demand for for a FAD like WAGGLING control those that don't remember their past are "Doomed" to repeat it. The Eye Toy was a MAJOR FAD failure! Only about 7% of PS2 owners bought into the FAD. My Wiimote works in the dark the eye toy doesn't that's the reason the Piimote has a goofy colored light up Ben Wa ball on the end, it is so its anemic camera can keep up in low light conditions.  The Wiimote has its camera inside the controller and it is IR so it can see in the dark.  It's more convient that way and less distracting plus it doesn't look retarded.

It doesn't matter if you TRIED to have kids that doesn't make you a parent. I never said they shouldn't release the WAGGE Jr. but they should admit they are following the leader because they didn't have the balls to introduce their innovation to the market first. This only proves they were wrong and they are in competition with the Wii regardless of their propaganda to the contrary. If you are saying that Sony had the Piimote before the Wii was released then that make Sony even more foolish and incompentent because Nintendo beat them to death with their own failed product.

P.S. I own a PS2 but Sony wanted to be greedy bastards and took out the backwards compatability in the PS3 so they can bite me and my extensive PS2 library. If you can't handle the truth maybe you should calm down and ignore me.

I think the funniest thing about this thread is the fact that all the Sony fanboys have conveniently forgotten that the Wii Mote/Nunchuck started off as a Gamecube peripheral. Funny thing is, they didn't have problem using it denigrate the Wii at launch. Oh that Sony Selective Memory Syndrome. A continual source of entertainment for all.

Who are these people who voted NO?

The ones who look at clear evidence Sony was working on a motion controller before the Wii released?  Who look at the fact the nunchuck was the result of fans asking for it and it wasn't going to exist until they did?  etc etc.

You know, the ones not in denial.

exactly, squlls parameters ar eone sided.

I voted no, based on the FACT they were developing it long befor enintendo released the wii. However, i feel the decision to actually release it came form the Wii. They had this same type of tech they just marketed it so pisspoor in the PS2 era and didnt make it appealing the way nintendo did.

Move = sony. Move being released = wii success.

Internally its probably always been there, when wii released it showed sony they screwed up bigtime in not understanding how to use it or how successful it could be. Nintendo was right, Sony was wrong.
