Probably because 4 - 5 years ago no one was asking 'who did it first'. I voted yes, however I understand people who voted no on the grounds that the question is heavily loaded. The Move isn't a copy of the Wiimote, Sony has shown they have been working on the idea for some time. However Sony's decision to use that finally release that idea was definitely inspired by the success of the Wiimote.

Would be nice if Wii fanboys didn't act so butt hurt about it.

From the day the Move was announced I've seen countless arguments both from Nintendo fanboys and Sony fanboys about who did what, who copied who, yadda yadda. Most of the time these arguments are stupid and makes no sense at all.

Nintendo fanboys yells "Nintendo innovates, Sony steals" or something like that. I mean, calm down, if you're interested in motion controls then you should see Sony and Microsoft jumping on the Motion train as a good thing.

Sony fanboys counters and shows "proof" of Sony being first with motion controls and that Nintendo copied them. What!? Where did that come from!? Why haven't we seen those arguments before? Fanboys sitting on console war ammo without using it makes no sense!!!

PS. The people I'm complaining about are the extremists and not the usual fans.

Vooted yes but not in an incriminating way - the way all tech industries works is that one company does the legwork on a certain project and the other companies copy.

yeah it's immature, but let's face it we all are guilty of doing things like this, even I have ben guilty of it myself, sometimes I have been very Anti-MS, just look at my post history, but I am learning how to be less biased as time goes by.

it's ok at least you apologised, listen i will be happy if everyone just stops complaining, I still find it irritating how people did not bash every motion device since the first one was created, which is why I'm getting irritated, I just find it too convienient that certain people will bash ps move simply for just looking like the wiimote, and basically that is where all the hate is coming from.

finally i am happy that sony and ms are joining the motion controlled era, lol, it will give us all new ways of playing games, personally i am tired of using the same controller (with a few improvements) for the last 3 generations, but not everyone feels the same way as I do, some are frightened, some don't like it at all, this is why I like that Sony have made it your choice, it's not like your stuck with it, if you know what I mean

In the end it matters only of the implementation, and it is the result of the wii existing. Natal push is downright inspired by the wii aswell, but in a lesser degree.
