Standings updated, the west is set and the Rangers are making life interesting for the Flyers and Bruins

It's now a best of 3 series between the Rangers and Flyers, with the Rangers technically starting the series "down" one game to the Flyers... playoffs start early this year!

Huge game tonight, Flyers win the east is set, Rangers win it comes down to the last game of the season.

It's conceivable that they both make it in.

If NYR win both games, one in regulation and one in overtime or shootout, and Montreal loses in regulation against the Leafs tomorrow, Montreal would be knocked out. The same scenario works for Boston, but it's much less likely as they would have to lose their remaining two games in regulation.

In any case, it would be an unlikely event, but still wholly possible.

The Canadiens are making their fans awfully nervous. They should have had this clinched by now. It seemed inevitable last week.

Bruins up 3-0 midway through the second, on their way to clinching a spot - what spot is in their own hands.

With the Rangers win yesterday, things got a lot more interesting. I wonder how the province of Quebec would react if Montreal missed the playoffs?

I can't wait till Wednesday/Thursday!

Also, Pearljammer, you're making me very nervous in the yahoo pool. You might still win, but losing Crosby's last game vs Atlanta is not gunna help - he's been on fire lately.

Flyers gotta play hard tomorrow, finish these Rangers off now.

I know... I really made the mistake in playing Datsyuk far too often early in the season. I'm banking on my goalies now.

But please, please do so in regulation.

I know alot of Habs fans, and I'm sure for one day they are all going to be Flyers fans. Unless of course you guys can beat the Leafs tonight.
