It's conceivable that they both make it in.
If NYR win both games, one in regulation and one in overtime or shootout, and Montreal loses in regulation against the Leafs tomorrow, Montreal would be knocked out. The same scenario works for Boston, but it's much less likely as they would have to lose their remaining two games in regulation.
In any case, it would be an unlikely event, but still wholly possible.
