Forums - Sony - GoWIII issues?

Has anyone expierenced any bad bugs or glitches playing yet? The other day I kept trying to open chests and it would stop and release. I thought my R1 was broken so I opened my brand new red dualshock 3 and the problem persists. Other people are expierenceing the problem as well and some are saying that double jump trying to use Icarus wings is glitchy too and doesn't always work. It's a shame such a big game can have problems like this. After that happened to me and it took me about 20 min to open all the chests before Hermes fight I turned off my system. I haven't had the problem again..yet.

video showing the issue.

lol back away from the box, your all up on its grill

or in other words you're too close to it, It's happened to me and i just backed up and it worked.
try that and then if that doesn't work turn it off and try again.

Hmm. I didn't have any problems like this. What did happen to me though, is after I finished it on Normal difficulty, I started again on Very Hard just to give it a try, and after I killed everyone right at the start, the fiery branch wasn't removed by Gaia. That little cut-scene just didn't start. I ran around for 10 minutes waiting for it happen.

I restarted, killed everyone again and then it worked again. Weird.

yes, i see the problem in the Video!

The problem is that guy who just keeps Kratos in the position where the R1 command isn't correctly displayed and presses the R1 button like Bart Simpson trying to grab an electrified Cupcake.

OT: i never had any problem with the game

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

The guy in the video doesn't move but when I had the problem I tryed it at many different ways and waited for the R1 prompt to light up before trying and it was usually a lucky event to have it work. Sometimes it would work on the spot it didn't work before. There was no correlation to where I was standing for the glitch to happen. It seems to happen sometimes and other times it's fine. Like I said I haven't had the problem since yesterday. I don't think I just got amazingly better at pushing r1 since yesterday. I have the collection and never had that problem.

I havn't had any of your problems mate. The only problems I've had were minute long freezes after unpausing a game from a 10 minute break and getting my ass handed to me by hercules on the very hard difficulty setting ;(

Only issue I had was that save points took a while to become interactive (ie Kratos had to stand there for a few seconds before the R1 prompt came up). And that didn't even happen at all of the save points.

Yeah, this happens to me too. The game's loading times aren't exactly seamless, which is kind of peculiar.

I've also had the Icarus Wings problem, but I think it's related to the fact that you have to entirely release the X button before your second jump - which one did not have to do in GoW2.

It's kind of odd, and as caused me to die about a half dozen times, but eh.
