Forums - Nintendo - Whats with all the Ho-oh hate?

I never understood why Ho-oh didn't get any attention, He looks fricking amazing, I do think Lugia looks a little better, but not enough to justify him getting a movie over Ho-oh. The first legendary pokemon Ash ever saw was Ho-oh, yet he was completely neglected throughout all of the series. I don't understand.

Its not only the creators of Pokemon that neglect Ho-oh, the gamers do it too. Why does everybody say Ho-oh < Lugia It doesn't make any sense to me,  I like Lugia, but he is an attenton wh0re. Please explain why everybody be hatin on ma dawg.

This is not a Lugia hate thread so please don't go there

He is actually meant to represent a Phoenix, hence him rising from the ashes of the Burned tower and the fact that he is a fire bird, but I can see where you may have mistaken him for a turkey... nonetheless, he shouldn't be hated/disliked as much as he is.

He isn't hated or disliked, you will see that when you see millions of people with Pokemon Gold/Heart Gold. But the fact is, Lugia is much... Much cooler.

And doesn't look like a Turkey.

Okay well he may not be hated or disliked but he is definitely, undeservingly the "red headed step child" of the two.

When you have a cool water bird, and a "Phoenix" that looks like a Turkey... The Turkey will be pushed to one side, just like a Ginger step kid.
