Nintendo

Their work on the DS is amazing. The games are incredibly polished, original, and truly bring out the best of the little monster portable. Their Wii work is also well done, although I'm not as high on the control scheme as I am on the DS's touchscreen and dual screen awesomeness. By far Nintendo though. Nintendo over Sony and Microsoft combined across the three platforms they develop on just considering Nintendo's DS library.

SONY. The only one in the bunch that's always taking risks and bringing in new content that I actually care for.

Nintendo, for the amount of titles they have produced and the amount those titles have sold.

Not all titles associated with Sony as being 'first party' are really first perty. Some are simply funded with Sony money but made by secondary or independent studios (games like God of War or White Knight Chronicles are a good example). The same can be attributed to Microsoft.

While Nintendo has its own fair share of second parties and third party games they publish, they also have a laundry list of first party games that is virtually unparalleled in the gaming industry. And as can easily be seen, from Mario to Pokemon to their latest 'Wii' lineup of games, those games line the charts as some of the highest grossing games in history.

As for what I think is the 'best' first party developer, I'll just keep that in the dark.  P.S. I don't think one company is better than the other, but much of what constitutes the 'First Party Support' for Sony and Microsoft is not actually 'Sony' or 'Microsoft'.

You are beyond mis informed atleast about SONY GOD OF WAR is a 1st party title made by Sony

Yes, after looking it up, I see that God of War was made bySony Santa Monica Studio.

However, I still stand by everything else I said.  As you can see with this link, Sony and its first party projects have a long way to go to amass both the amount of titles and sales Nintendo has achieved over the years.

Now compare that to the list for Nintendo and click on any of the R&D sections.  You'll see a list for each comparable to the amount of games for all of Sony's first parties.

R&D means Research and Development, these guys don't make games they make consoles and peripherals

Nintendo's First party are these

Internal

Thing is, we already had this poll dozens of times here.

Take your pick: http://www.vgchartz.com/poll/results.php

Polls like this become useless when you know what a websites fanbase is made up of, a select few will be relatively unbiased and choose a different company/system/game depending on how the question is phrased etc, but the majority are either forced into bias like myself (having only experienced a select few of Sony's 1st party games, and only Halo from MS I can't exactly choose them can I) or just vote for the sake of it.

Hell I would argue the results would not change much at all if you took out the "of the Wii/HD gen" stuff.

Hey! I'm a fairly well known Xbox supporter and I chose Nintendo. There are no games made by anyone else that compare with a full on Zelda or Mario release.

It used to be Nintendo but this gen I feel like Sony really stepped up. But I'm going to say so far because Nintendo has a great 1st party lineup coming this year.

yeah, i wonder what Project Sora are going to make =s they were formed in 2009 and still they didn't announce anything.

(they're ex-Square members (Mana series)  so thats why i'm excited. )

Im going to go with SONY. M$ first party lineup leaves something to be desired IMHO. I like the xbox better as a console than the PS3 but i have to give credit where credit is due and SONY's 1st party has alot more high quality releases as of late.

Long Live SHIO!

I would love a 1st party RPG from Nintendo. I also hope that's what Project Sora is.
