Forums - Sony - Watch Playstation Move Live Show Now on Engadget

Thanks for posting the vids. Awesome stuff, especially the picture manipulation. When devs get there coding up to snuff for release, this controller could prove very interesting.

@ theprof00

I found a very interesting post at psu.com.

I guess Sony doesn't copy as much as some may think. Well, not unless they are copying themselves. In truth, the Move was the next step to where Sony was going with motion controls. They had already filed a patent for a wand-like device in Dec. of '04. I'm guessing either the decline in interest for the Eyetoy or the launch of the PS3 less than 2 yrs away was the cause for them to not follow through. Now, I will give credit to Nintendo, though. If they hadn't come along and proven that motion control could be huge, Sony may not have invested in theirs. But Sony is far from a copycat.  We'll just leave that to MS.

They show nothing new. They even did not show a good game to play with. I don't why, but they should have.

The sword does remain in front of him, while he's turning it behind his back. Still curious to get my hands on this for my own playtest though

Thanks for the share, i missed the live feed

those were friggin crazy :O Imagine a puzzle, adventure or a survival horror game with that minority report ish effect, would be CRAZY!

Really tho, I am VERY impressed by the scope of things this thing can do....it's like Natal +Wii, just better and together...definitely gonna buy this
