I personally want a two player co-op single player...not 4.

My reasons you ask?

If there's 4 people everyone will be skipping cutscenes ( I like to watch them). There will always be an obnoxious guy player with you and I wont enjoy the game. It easier to have cooler bosses/normal combate with 2 players, not 4. in conclusion, having a 4 player co-op gears of war 3 will result in a single player similar to cod5 with locusts...do you agree? and this is coming from a man who loves horde with 5 people!

4 player because 53" TVs want more players. Also it gives nice symetry with Halo for a quick change up between.

Cliffy has pretty much said before that Gears will always use the 2 player co-op system because its easier to tell the story that way. They really like the idea of just two buddies going through hell together. So unless they changed their mind recently it will probably still only support two players through campaign but at least 4 in horde. Imagine how epic horde would be with like 6-8 players? You could start throwing Brumaks at the players if you've got that big of a crew!!

I won't buy it unless it has 4 player co-op. Halo 3's campaign was a lot of fun with 4 player as was horde mode in Gears 2. I was pretty disappointed that Gears 2 didn't have 4 player Campaign to be honest. It would make the game feel fresher and real teammates beats AI teammates.

I want 4 player split screen because I always much more fun playing with 3 others. Playing on 1 tv with 4 different styles of play going on at the same time just gets me excited and the social aspect is great.

2 Player Co-op for Campaign works.

Uh, the rumour is 5 player co-op, so I want that.

2 player as I only have 1 friend and don't like doing co-op with strangers.
If you're worried about skipping cut scenes what I usually do is play the game in sinngle player then do the co-op.
I like to know the story and in co-op it's difficult to follow with people still talking about what just happened.

All depends on the campaign structure. Gears 2 couldn't have more than 2 player co-op because Cole and Baird aren't with you all the time, only Dom.

Of course they could take the Halo 3 route and add two generic COG soldiers.
