Many people dont know about this game so i made this thread to let you guys know what it is about.

The game is available now as a ps one classic on the PSN Store.

IGN review

"One takes place 40 years in the future. Protagonist John Cain awakens in an unfamiliar apartment building with his left arm replaced by a huge gun, confused and rightfully upset. As he leaves the building he is chased by unknown military personal bent on killing him. As game premises go, this is a good one. And, as graphics go, One is great as well."

This game is sooo cool, why ?

"Beyond confusion, Cain knows only rage, which he employs in an Incredible Hulk-like fashion throughout the game. The rage meter performs opposite as it might in other games: the more hits he takes, the lower it becomes, doubling as a health meter. As Cain raises heck, shooting down enemy soldiers and buildings alike, his rage meter rises, allowing him to take more hits and perform even more punishing attacks."

The thing is, enemies fill the screen whit bullets, so much chaos that you cant scape, but as you destroy everything you get angry and your hearts beats faster, as long as you heart is under RAGE effect your HP regenerates, and the bigger the explotions the more HP you get, and your damage is increased, so you only die for 3 reasons: 1) a gigantics amount of enemies are hitting you and you are not killing enought of them to make you rage keep up it the HP drop rate 2) you are not causing enought destruction 3)  you fall (this happens a lot : ( ).

this game is about chaos and explotions

"Finally, One seemingly has been designed to make it impossible to see what's going on. Whenever something big blows up (which is often) the screen shakes like in a movie. This looks impressive enough to the person watching you play but it makes it difficult to see what's going on."

Dont worry about that last part most of the time you cause the explotions and that means you are healed and do more damage, AWESOME.

This game is also very hard

"Which leads me to One's main problem: it's too damn hard. Any good game has a steady learning curve: it's easy at the beginning, so you get to know the control and how the game works, and then steadily gets more difficult. One starts tough and gets worse."

For this reason and the unaccurate jumping IGN gave it a low score, but dont let thats scare you, the game is just old school hard.

Just remenber this game is from 1997, dont be turn of by the graphics.

I used to want this game so badly back when it came out. Eventually, I forgot all about it. It's just $6 now. Has it aged well? If so, I'll put it on my PSP.

The PSN is starting to get some tully forgotten gems Good to know Never got the chance to play this game, tough now it might be the time to do so

You have no idea how hard it is to find a youtube video for "One". Every video or game that has the word "one" in the title is popping up!

IGN's rating for the game is, 'Meh'... really, meh? guess homer simpson created the rating system over there. GTAIV gets *drools*

Yes everything related to this game is very hard to find because of the game is title, often use the publisher's name, and by the way those are the same guys that published the first GTA

^^^I didn't notice the links a the end of the OP. The game got a "5" from Ign back in 1997 (I was a magazine reader in those days)? This does not bode well. I doubt the game got better since its been 13 years since it came out. I guess its a no go, for me. Oh well.
