Not sure why you started a new thread but anyway...
I would say just go ahead and play the games you like.
Bioschock2 will most likely take less time to complete than the RPGs, so I would take on that one first. Next, I remember from earlier posts that Star Ocean 4 is indeed boring at the beginning but gets exciting as you go through the adventure. The same goes for FFXIII.
I personally hate to leave a game unfinished and start another.
never drop an RPG for an other if you intend to finish it.... (exception is if one is on a handheld)

Beat Star Ocean then beat FF XIII.

I'd stop Star Ocean and start Final Fantasy XIII. The games are night and day in terms of quality.
It's weird that you mention both of these games as I just wrote in the FF review page how I wish the combat of FF would have been more in Star Oceans mold. Going from Star Ocean to FF is going to be very hard for the combat, FF is just sort of blah on the combat end. The story and production quality are better in FF however.
i would stop playing SO, erase my save file and start FF XIII( i hate playing jrpgs and then stopping to play other jrpgs, cause when you come back, months or even years later to finish it, you would forget what happened, and things wouldn't be as fresh
