I don't know why anyone is still talking, Zenfolder won this thread about 3 pages back.

While it's obvious that Crysis 2 will be leagues ahead of Killzone 2 (Crysis 1 already was) in terms of technology and it's implementation, KZ2 might as well have an edge on artistic direction.
But still, I enjoyed Crysis 1 and Warhead a lot, wonder how will the consoles versions turn out. For some reason I think they will look quite bad...
Those arent actually screenshots from the console version, yall need to calm down.

Should we wait to this kind of comparison until they release screenshots of the PS3 version?
LOL.
They use concept art for 1 of the screensots for KZ2 just to make it seem like it's close.
Sorry but not only are the textures on Crysis 2 destroying KZ2, but the draw distance, lighting ( Crytek confirm KZ2 uses tricks as opposed to everything realtime like CRYEngine 3, stated at GDC last year in front of Sony. ).
Also, Crysis 2 is also a much taller game world.
Maybe they should have compared KZ2 with the new Medal Of Honour?
Every time I play Killzone 2 I'm impressed by it's visuals like the first time I've seen them. Killzone 2 is still the benchmark in graphics, even last week the newly announced Medal of Honor was boasting about having Killzone 2 level of visuals (which I don't think it have but whatever).
I've played Crysis 1 on PC all the way through, I've tryied Warhead, but my PC is having trouble rendering it on decent settings so I didn't bother. Crysis is trying for ultrarealistic look, Killzone 2 is more sci-fi. The lighting in Killzone is unmatched by any other game maybe for Alan Wake. I don't think that Crysis 2 can look that good on consoles as these bulletshots make it to be. On PC definately, but you won't be able to run it till like 2015.
By the time Crysis 2 is released on consoles, Killzone 2 will be 2 years old. So it's to be expected that it will look better, in fact a LOT better. But by that time KZ3 could be releasing also, these guys had 2 years to pimp out their engine and I dare to say that KZ3 will look better than multiplatform Crysis 2. You can quote me on this.

No way. GDC 09, Crytek state that noone is doing what they are doing engine wise on consoles. Stating CE3 isthe only engine to run everything in realtime without tricks like KZ2 does.

Indeed but we need to wait until we see how well it exactly runs.

I'm rather interested in these tricks of yours. What are they, who said it was true, how can they know?
And besides, does it really matter? What's the difference between it beeing a trick or not? It still looks better than everything else...
