Well how would you describe people willfully ignoring the facts presented to them? Fact is Nintendo said the wii market isn't for hardcore games. It's like someone arguing Ferrari's were made for practicality - just sheer bizarre.

No, Nintendo's admitted that they are no good at bringing herdcore games to Wii.  And it's true, they went out and got REAL HARDCORE™ games like Sin & Punishment 2, Cave Story or Monster Hunter Tri.  Y'know, the sorts of games with no aim assist, with no handholding set piece design, no breadcrumb artificial achievements, no career modes, without even lock on, that would make the average HD neanderthal cry home to momma.

Don't be speshal - The wii is not a hardcore game console, and was never intended to be one, hence why it was sold not on technical prowess but the motion controller, which didn't even have 1:1 movement. If you think the wii has anywhere near the same amount of hardcore games as the PS3 or 360, you are kidding yourself and seriously deluded.

Where are these setop notch AI and physics?  Almost all I find on my 360 and canned animation routines and group clustering that my 5 pound Papillion could outmaneuver. :/ 

I dunno what's sadder, that HD PR has hijacked what "hardcore" actually means, or that they've taken PC gaming a generation backwards....

bullshit. consoles have never taken pc a generation behind its that PC owners arent supporting PC games enough to justify making more complex AI and better graphics or taht developers are lazy as you can see crysis 2 PC should look excellent so consoles arent holding PC gaming behind.

Advanced trigger systems cannot be done on the wii as it requries a lot of CPU power. Forgottten what it's called, but the tech feature where points and animations are created on the fly also cannot be done on the wii, but on the ps3 and 360, so no idea where you are getting the canned animation routines from....

Hardcore should be a game which isn't based in nostalgia. Again, Nintendo said the wii isn't for hardcore games so I really fail to see why you are dragging this point out, unless you think you know better then Nintendo's spokesman?

Plus how have HD consoles taken PC gaming back a generation? Are you sure it's not the console that sold on the premise of clever advertising and simplistic motion controls? Y'know, the one which technically is archaic whereas the PS3 has a CPU better than anything found in any gaming PC?

I think the one deluded here is you my friend. Your hate towards Nintendo is totally blinding you. You're not even able to admit there is some (not as much as PS360 obviously) hardcore titles on the Wii. Wow this generation must have been such a source of frustration for you. lol
