Forums - Gaming - Final fantasy 13 Screen tearing and laggy.

I've encountered no major problems or lags with my PS3 version with Full HD Samsung TV and HDMI cable though like one of the previous members have said, there's a slight lag after saving from the save point where I can't move for like 2 secs.

I haven't encountered any issues either. The game has run flawless on my 52 in. Bravia.

Now White Knight, that game has a lot of tearing.

i can confirm both statements

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Hi

Iv been having issues with final fantasy 13 that iv been playing it on my ps3. In every cutscene theres like 2 invisible lines cutting through my screen and lots of lag. when im running around and battling theres no lag but the lines appear if i spin the camera around.

I took the game back and got a replacement still same issue, tried on 2 ps3's and 3 different tv's ( none of which were high def tho)

can anyone help me?

Please NO comments like "get it on xbox" cause i don't have an xbox and dont plan on getting one.

I had the same while playing NTSC inFamous on my PAL SD Tv. I think it has something to do with the refresh rate for each region. During the play whole screen is blinking, with two horizontal lines across the screen, putting a lot of eye strain. I've bought inFamous again from PAL and no problem whatsoever. (Tho I have no idea how did I get that NTSC inFamous in the first place, since I've ordered that game from UK...)

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

i don't have the problem either.

42" HD TV, HDMI cable here. I haven't seen a single occurrence of screen tearing either, and I'm pretty sensitive to it in PC gaming (and from recently playing a bunch of White Knight Chronicles, which has some pretty major screen tearing.)

Maybe it's a TV format thing? I'm in the US.

FF13 is v-synced so there is absolutely no screen tearing during the game. The problem comes from your tv.

I don't know, I can confirm the first one, although knock the screen size down to 42, lol, but the second is false to me, I've not experienced ANY slowdowns or frame tearings from WKC, and neither have my mates, lol o.O .. Oh well.

As for this problem, I'd assume it's something to do with your SDTV and the refresh rate not being high enough or something, I'd suggest what you said actually, buying an HDMI cable and checking at your mates house, if the problem stops there, then start saving for a nice HDTV my friend.

oh god,... something's wrong with FFXlll for PS3,....but it was supposed to be perfect, it's on a bluray, one disc only, nyaaaa, nyaaaa, maaaaa,

my signature went on strike, it's demanding 3% raise

I have a LG 32" hd tV, no problems whatsoever, maybe people who are experiencing problems with their HD TV's have a low refresh rate, mine is 100

don't go spewing false information, I am betting this is a problem with the TV and not the PS3, also most of us who have HD TV's are experiencing no problems
