That just tells you about MS's quality control, and ethics of making a good product. If I tried to sell you something that I knew would fall apart within a few months, would you buy it even if I promised deep down that I would give you another one? You'd probably laugh me out of your house anyway. Look at the PS3 vs 360 sales WW and I'll tell you, a lot of people are forming the same conclusion.

You want RROD, Duct tape the vents(but don't open up your Xbox), It will give you the overheating Ring (which is two rings), but if you leave it on long enough while its overheated it will eventually melt the part of the motherboard and you will get RROD (three rings). Then just take the duct tape off and they won't know you did it. I've done it before and it wasn't hard to do. I love being devious. |
Yes you are being devious and actually just as good as MS is, but this kind of quality control makes you deserve this kind of behavior so I'm not complaining at all.

Yeah I wouldn't normally do it, but after knowing that it was pretty much guarunteed to brake and that I have a limited amount of time for it to brake or I won't get a replacement. Then its just seems like the fair thing to do.

I'm sending it back tho, it will not load games, the date on the back shows 03/16/10 but that just when it was refurbished and then they just pass it on to me, was really hopping to get a New Chipset.. I will just keep sending it back until I get a nice one |
They are going to send you the one they want you to have. The old chips cost them less money so you may not get one with a new chip. You better off buying a new 360.
I don't get why any gamer would hope they console to break. If those new chips are better than the old ones, MS should have used them from the begining.

Nope, this happened to me twice a couple years ago and a few years ago, when I got a unit back I would check to see if it was really new, I sent them back the same way with a note under "reasons" and explained everything, like unit is louder then the one I sent in, gets hot quickly, etc.. etc..
When you get your unit back it's under FULL Warranty, and it shows up in their computer as 'Full Warranty'
Got a NEW unit sent to me in 10 days for both, this is my third unit to try it on.
