Sega made a lot of really bad decisions and business moves that ended their console run. That doesn't make the Saturn any less great.

That's harsh. Anyway it was Sony's PS2 that ended Sega's home consoles. |
All what Sony did was putting a knife on a table while sega took it and kill theirself.
the failure of the Saturn killed the Dreamcast.
Megadrive/Genesis was so great everyone knew it who played Videogames then. And what is more sad....A top ten Saturn games and no Sonic game on it....So hard to believe it how could Sega be so wrong....Heck many don't know what a Saturn is and never played it :(;
YAY for the SATURN!!
and in a thread like this, we need this Video!
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I love my saturn but unfortunately most of the really really good stuff remained japan only.. :(
But panzer dragoon zwei and saga.
Guardian heroes and Radiant Silvergun, Saturn Bomberman
Shining Force III, Nights and Fighters Megamix
and a tonne of japanese shmups made it a great collectors dream
plus... Princess Crown!!! which never ever got any english translation!

Obviously Saturn didn't kill Sega's home console ventures, it merely wounded them, but so did a lot of things. The Saturn was actually Sega's most successful console in Japan, it kept up with PS1 for a while and outsold N64. Probably part of the reason why there was barely any Japanese 3rd party support for the N64.
I loved the Saturn
